Driver Stopped, Found Breaking Five Laws

How many laws can a person break at the same time?

Five does not sound like so many, but it is pretty impressive nonetheless.

A driver was stopped by the police near Tzomet Kinneret up north. The policeman quickly discovered that he was not dealing with just anybody. This driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. In addition to that, when asked to produce paperwork of the car he refused.

Upon further checking, it was discovered the man had never in his life been awarded a driver's license.Add to that the fact that he had stolen the car earlier that night, and upon searching the vehicle the police found a stash of cameras and cellular phones that he had stolen. In addition that, if that is not enough, they discovered his name associated with a number of cases he was wanted for, in a variety of criminal cases.

Wow.

  2. I know someone, who was stopped and fined for breaking 3 laws.
    1) Driving wrong way into a one-way street
    2) Speaking on the mobile phone
    3) No safety belt.

Now anyone of those could happen in Ramat Beit Shemesh, so please drive carefully.
By the way, the police now stop people at 8.00 in the morning, just after turning from Ayalon into Kishon on the way out of RBS.
    You have been warned.

  3. of the three, the one that gets me the worst is the driving wrong way on one-way street. that usually is just purely out of laziness. It would take an extra minute to go up to the next street going the right way and go around, but the person has to save that extra minute...
though they are all bad..that one just annoys me worse

Just a quick question - is the name of the driver Moishe Zuchmir or Achmed Abu-Muhammed?

    achmed,

You must realize by now that this has nothing to do with law breaking..it is just part of the vast anti-charedi attitude of the police.

I'm certain that Yated, Chadash,Hamodia, etc will tell you that no non religious has ever received a fine.

The bottom line is that we as religious Jews have to be more careful as there is a bigger Kiddush vs Chilul HaShem issue.

    That's just the facts.

Perhaps if we would be more careful in our "baein adom lchavero" (or at least as careful as we are "bein adom laMakom") the "sina" that exists would cool down.
