A survey taker comes to a zealot building in Beit Shemesh

Talk about childish. And their protests are dwindling down to single digit attendance numbers..

  1. Yes, I agree. I think this lady is acting quite childish. Just move on to a different building. No need to curse the guy out and call him "zevel" I see the name calling is not only done by the kanoim. We have 5 year olds on all sides.

What do the police have to do with this issue anyways? Is there some law that anyone is allowed to enter any building?

What happened to live and let live?

What was Lipman doing there? What does he do all day? Follow the police and go for photo ops?

  2. from the little I could hear about why she said she was there - at the beginning - she does not sound like a survey taker - more like a social worker checking up on a family

  3. It's an interesting question regarding the law.

The general convention is that visitors, whether invited or uninvited, are welcome to knock on doors.

Of course, if you think that a building can put up a "No Entry to Black [Hats]", you're welcome to take the belief, but personally, I would say that's rather tasteless.

Our building, at least, welcomes visitors of all orientations. Does yours?

Perhaps because this is (it seems to me) a building close to Orot Banot?

What does he do all day???? He spends a good part of his day protecting the little girls that attend Orot from menuvalim like the guy in the video!

  6. Mark do you know the guy in the video to be a menuval, or are all of the chassidim / yerushalmim / chareidim menuvalim because you know some that are?

    Is that a racist comment?

Sorry if I sound accusatory, but I really do want to understand

  7. Mikeage, I dont think you let *everyone* in your building. If someone wanted to come into your building and *harm* people - would you let them in?

How about if they wanted to take pictures?

What if they wanted to just yell and scream and make a lot of noise?

Every building, in my opinion, is allowed to have standards as to who we let in and who we feel is a disturbance or worse, a potentially dangerous person

  9. Well, my downstairs neighbor beats his wife regularly, but we let him in. Also the police. Sad.

Even if I believe someone is coming to yell, I cannot stop him from doing so based on my suspicion. If he does so, however, he will be removed for violating the law.

If he's not violating any laws, then no, we have no grounds to prohibit his entry.

Pictures, while generally a bit suspicious, are not forbidden. I cannot deny someone access who wants to photograph the communal areas.

You're welcome to come test this if you like.
