Netanyahu's Thick Shnitzel

A cleaning lady is suing Sarah Netanyahu, the prime minister's wife. She claims she is owed social payments that were due to her from when she had been employed by Sarah Netanyahu, along with having been forced to work on Shabbos, having been paid less than minimum wage, and being forced to call Mrs Netanyahu by the name "Mrs. Sara Netanyahu" (I don't know what the problem with that is).

I have no intention to offer any opinion on this matter, as the courts will decide such things and anything I say would only be speculation. I would just comment on some testimony that was offered in the court proceedings.

The cleaning lady has claimed that she was overworked. She said that work that would have taken just two days a week for 4.5 hours each time had she been allowed to use her own methods of cleaning, took a full 9 hours each workday following Netanyahu's cleaning demands. Specifically, she claimed that whenever a painting was to be hung in the house, Netanyahu made her cover the "entire house" with nylon, and then to uncover it after the hanging of the paintings.

It's a silly complaint. So what? So Sarah Netanyahu is a clean freak. who cares? If she felt at the time that she was being overworked or that type of work was not for her, she could have quit. Again, the monetary dispute is not to be commented on. She deserved to be paid for her work whatever was due her, and if she had not been paid, she should be. She is a cleaning lady, and if her boss wanted her house cleaned in a particular way, I see nothing wrong with it. Covering the furnishings with plastic to avoid dust does not seem like abusive labor to me, so if she did not like that particular style she should have quit.

Funnily, she says the Netanyahu family loved the thin shnitzels she would make for them. When she was upset, she got her revenge by making thick shnitzel instead. (source Ynet)

You know it's a bad day when the Netanyahu's have to eat thick shnitzel. And to think, the prime minister might be in a bad mood one day because he was made to eat thick instead of thin shnitzel, and that might have caused him to start a war in his anger and frustration.

Not everywhere can the prime minister's wife be sued by a cleaning lady..
