2nd day of yom tov Lag b'omer

I just realized this evening, that with many people celebrating Lag b'Omer on Motzei Shabbos, as per the calendar, and many people celebrating Lag b'Omer on Sunday afternoon/evening, as per the Rabbanut's instructions, it is going to be, in some communities (like RBS, for example) like two days of Yom Tov...

Isn't "two days of yom tov" one of the things we thought we left behind when we left chutz la'aretz?

  1. Isru Chag Lag BeOmer.
Mazal tov to all the couples that married on this day, including me and my wife Tamar.
    Shabbat Shalom,

  2. After each galut, we've taken on one of the foreign customs and after the upcoming geulah, 2nd day yom tov will be adopted by all in Eretz Yisrael.

  3. It's like 2 days of purim.

You also sometimes get two days of Yom Hatzmaut.

  4. I had a similar thought. In Israel, we have a three-day-yomtov this year.
