my browsing habits wouldn't cause that then. But I did try again and the ads were OK. I guess they have a nice variety. There was a slutty cover on a video posted on the site though. Again, definitely not a frum-friendly site.
Lipman did not introduce "Alljobs". It's an existing job search site. The initiative is to create a section for jobs suitable for Chareidim. From what I've heard, that section of the site will be free of inappropriate ads.
Another meaningless initiative, introduced only to raise PR for Yesh Atid. Here's why: To begin with the alljobs website and its ilk are the last stop for anyone seeking an actual job. In Israel, the private-sector jobs come by way of networking - usually prejudicing and barring the average Charedi. Government jobs, officially advertises by tender and designed to offer equal opportunity, go the way of the private market and are awarded to friends and family members, à la Sicily. Real attempts to open up the job market to Chareidim who seek employment, through affirmative action - a tool already in place for Arab job seekers - were warded off by the sitting government, of which yesh atid is a part of.
Postscript: the alljobs website already has been offering Jobs for Charedim as far back as three years ago. In essence, any job on the site, providing it doesn't involve chilul shabbos etc. can be categorize as מתאים לדתיים\חרדים. Yet, trouble for the charedi job seeker begins when he discovers that his applications and resume go unanswered, or he is screened out of the market with some nonsense responses, as I've seen and experienced myself.
This initiative does not serve in any way the charedi job seeker. It does however serve Yesh Atid, as they can now tout their efforts in creating jobs for chareidim.
Click on the AllJobs link, see slutty ad all over the page. Great for Haredim.
ReplyDeleteNot when I clicked on it Mr. anon. Must be tailored to the visitor based on website visits....hmmmm

ReplyDeleteAgain, definitely not a frum-friendly site.
