Quote of the Day

This isn't an issue that should be of interest to UTJ as a party that is meant to represent the Haredi ideology. {walking out is] an act of protest, and I said there is a more important thing to do - one that nobody has yet told me I was wrong for, and that is, I am concerned that a cloud is hanging over Haredi Judaism that next they will try to shut our mouths.

-- MK Meir Porush (UTJ), explaining why he voted against the Israel Hayom law, while other Haredi MKs walked out and didnt vote

  2. So why didn't the Haredi parties vote against it? This definitely can be used against their media as well.

  3. I don't understand. Isn't part of being part of the government voting on bills that are of a general nature, not just those that are relevant to you narrow constituency? Am I missing something.
