the violence has gone too far

The violence has gone way too far.

Yesterday's protests were punctuated by a group of protestors who discovered that Sara Netanyahu was visiting her hair salon and the converged on the location and tightened their circle of protest around the salon and didnt let her leave. Eventually the police extricated her after a long standoff.

That is extreme violence, even though not a hair on her head was touched other than by her barber.

The thing is that it has been a an escalation over the past couple of years, and maybe even longer. The incessant cycles of elections kept seeing, or bringing, increasingly raised tones and increasing levels of divisiveness and tension. In the last government, the one led by Lapid and Bennett, is when it got really bad. Right wing protesters angry at the formation of a government led by anyone other than Bibi attacked Zeev Elkins's wife and children outside their house. They protested outside of Nir Orbach's home for lengthy periods of time. they had MKs chased out of shuls and they had the children of MKs thrown out of schools. This violence is horrible, but this form of attacks was brought about and legitimized by the same people condemning it loudly today. This has gone way too far. I hope some people come to their senses soon.

  1. Be careful when you make a weapon. Your enemy might grab it from you and use it against you.
We remember when the Labour party decided to bring the biggest Jew murderer since WW2 to Israel and give him a base and personal army in the heart of the country. They did this despite campaigning against doing this in the previous election. They did it with barely a majority and only after bribing a couple of MK's to change sides. They had no hesitation to use the police to brutally put down opposition demonstrations and told anyone in Golus who was concerned to f--k off and mind their own business.
And now they're on the other side and they're outraged!
