separate swimming coming to a spring near you..

According to Kikar, announced shortly before Pesach, Minister of Environmental Protection Idit Silman has decided to run a pilot program this coming summer for mehadrin swimming at springs around Israel. The pilot program will include two natural springs - Han Hashlosha (Sachne) up north next to Bet Shean, and Ein Tzuki down south near the Dead Sea. Obviously if the pilot works well this will be expanded.

The pilot will have separate swimming in these springs from 6pm until 10pm (when the sites close for the day).

The article doesnt give more specifics of how this will work other than to say there will be these designated times for separate swimming. Will it be 6-8 men and 8-10 women? the opposite? Alternating every hour or 30 minutes? Will the springs be sectioned off so everyone can swim at the same time with men in one section and women in another?

It is a shame this didnt happen already on Pesach, with the masses out all over the country, but Pesach is just a day or two of tiyulim, so not a big deal. The summer is 2-3 months long so plenty of time for the masses to enjoy....
