Quote Of The Day

Quote Of The Day

Kol HaKavod to the Gerrers. This is the only language that the sikrikim (thugs) understand.
We are talking about people who for them violence is their way of life. And now, when they are hit they complain. Finally somebody is talking with them in their language.
Many are trying to "close accounts" with Gur and are hitchhiking on this incident to do so. In this situation, Gur is completely correct, and I back them up..

  5. sorry. i assumed most people knew there is practically a war raging in mea shearim.
they are fighting over control of the "hekdesh" properties. the sikrikim have been attacking others, and recently the ger hassidim took their revenge. a group went the other day and beat the living daylights out of one of the leaders of the sikrikim. He is still in the hospital in critical condition

  6. This is how dysfunctional things have gotten that the head of a humanitarian organization is praising violence.

I hope that the mayor goes ahead and announces that mea sheraim will now be officially recognized as its own mini municipality where there is no protection from violence or force of law. Post those signs at the entrances to the neighborhood and see how that affects the inflow of shoppers and tourists. I live about ten minutes from there and haven't stepped foot in over a year.

  8. the head of a humanitarian organization is praising violence

    < sarcasm >
Actually, Meshi-Zahav is the head of Zaka, which is not a regular humanitarian organization, but one which deals with the dead. Thus, being in favor of violence, particularly violence which may, chas v'shalom, leave someone dead, is consistent with the type of chesed he's involved with.

  10. But I think we have to admit that the thing most likely to stop a bully from bullying you is a sound thrashing.

Of course, smart people administer the thrashing in an anonymous manner.
