Quote Of The Day
Not an insignificant portion of the radical left have lost their sense of proportion. Chazal said 2000 years ago whomever would have mercy on the cruel will end up being cruel to the merciful. It's amazing to see how members of the radical left, those who display mercy and pluralism towards the worst of the Arab terrorists, are exposed time after time with hatred towards their own jewish brethren with different lifestyles from their own, whether it be the haredi community or the Jews settling in Judea and Samaria....
We, the residents of the Shomron, send a big embrace and true love to our brothers the haredim. Together we will defeat the haters of Israel on the radical left...
-- head of Shomron regional Council, Daniel Mesika in response to statement by former head of Mossad Efraim Halevi saying that the greatest threat to Israel, even worse than the threat of Ahmadinejad, is the move to extremism, the "hitchardut", the acceptance of more and more stringencies on society...
I don't think Halevy was speaking against Haredim. He was speaking out against religious zionist IDF soldiers who walk out of the room when women sing (Kol Isha).
ReplyDeleteUltra-lefist Ephraim Halevy would LOVE our leftist Haredi mayor Abutbul who cavorts around Europe with the PLO under the 'Geneva Initiative' and who cricizes the Israeli government in Arabic on Al Jazeera. Abutbul is 'too frum' to give land to a Hesder Yeshiva but not too frum to hang out with PLO terrorists.
Ephraim Halevy would LOVE Haredi MK Israel Eichler and United "Tora" Judiasm who in Jan. 2005 gave Sharon his majority for Gush katif Expulsion, grave desecrations and burnings of shul (in exchange for 290 million NIS).
Of course they walked out because it was assur for them to be there.
ReplyDeleteabutbul supports the geneva proposals openly and appears with palestinians??
ReplyDeleteYes Ben, he does --
ReplyDeleteTHIS is what our esteemed mayor was engaged in while 7 year old girls were being openly harassed:

Too 'frum' for the Dati Leumi community but NOT too "frum" for PLO terrorists.
Too "frum" to go to the army (its bitul tora) but NOT too frum to endanger the hayalim who DO go to the army.
