Perhaps, but not by someone who calls himself a devoted talmid of the Rav. Coming from Moshe Abutbol it is much more serious. For the Shas candidate to take advantage of this borders on sacrilige. Remember that they say Eli Cohen is the one who has no sensitvity for Torah.
Ironically, it looks like a political posting reacting (indirectly) to the petira of Rav Ovadia ZT"L.
