Quote of the Day
Our education system is the highest quality even without the core curriculum. You cannot damage our praiseworthy education. Outgoing Education Minister, my dear friend, they who did not want you as Minister of Education will have you as Prime Minister and Minister of Education. And you, Rav Piron, the scion to a family of Vizhnitz hassidim, will with God's help be the Chief Rabbi of Israel...

I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteMozes would rather have Piron be chief rabbi rather than minister of education... to that effect, Piron had a nice response, but I only saw it later and havent had time to type it up
ReplyDeleteThose grapes are sooooooo sour!
ReplyDeletePlease explain, who was the prior Minister of Education? When are the 'losers' gonna to accept their role in opposition & bring positive energy to the Knesset?
ReplyDeleteGideon Saar was the previous Minister of Ed. He is now the Minister of Interior
ReplyDeletePoor Harry Maryles. His fingers must be so worn out, sitting and cutting out those terrible awful passages from todays Daf (Eruvin 11).
ReplyDeleteHere, read it yourself:
"[R. Nahman and R' Shesheth have an argument regarding a certain type of Eruv] R. Nahman proceeded to give a practical decision in the house of the Exilarch [Resh Galusa] in agreement with his traditional ruling [that said type of Eruv is permissible]. Said R. Shesheth to his attendant, R. Gadda, ‘Go pull them out and throw them away’. He accordingly went there, pulled them out and threw them away."
OH MY GOD!! Get this friends, R' Shesheth does not agree with the Eruv installed under R' Nahmans authority, and thereupon instructs his attendant to pull 'em out!!!!
***JEWISH VILIGANTISM AT ITS FINEST***
Horrors of horrors. Harry sat there cringing. How can this possibly be???
But wait, it gets worse. Then comes the sweep-it-under-the-carpet coverup.
When R' Shesheth is shown a Braitha that refutes his opinion, he responds:
"If you meet the people of the Exilarch's house’, he said to him, ‘tell them nothing whatever of the Baraitha about the arched doorway"
IOW, don't let the folks at the Resh Galusa house know that I was proven wrong, let them think my opinion was correct.
At this point, Harry's face was crimson red. Not just a viligante, but covering it up too?!
WHAT A CHILUL HASHEM!!!!
Off Harry ran to get his scissors......
