ReplyDeleteSince everyone is talking about the get,I'll add my two cents. The daas Torah blog claims its a major chillul Hashem , so for some odd reason, he is doing his best to publicize it by linking every article written about the story. It's a pity he doesn't put that effort in resolving the problem, that is ,to help give the get. He claims that she is spreading lies but never gave proof ,but is willing to let any comment or lies to defame the other side.
ReplyDeleteThe article in the post merely stated the obvious ,she wants a get after 4 years, if you have a better idea how to get a get, suggest it.
According to art scroll, the Weiss,s resigned, we're not fired. Adding speculation, that Rav Malkiel was behind it, is pure motzei Shem rah.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could expect more from our "leaders" . Even if they don't have to give a get according to Halacha , maybe they should do the right thing anyway, and let her go. The longer it takes, the worse chillul Hashem it becomes. So let's see if our leaders are up to doing the right thing.
