Cool it Avi. The quote doesn't say that it was invented by Jews. In the context of that quote, it is irrelevant who invented it. All it says is that it's a traditional Jewish food, which, duh, it is.
In addition to Avi's cogent observation, do we have reason to think that Italian Jews didn't eat pizza? Or are we simply saying that "Jewish foods" are whatever East European Jews ate, and the other 50 % of the Jewish world doesn't count?
Kugel wasn't invented by Jews. Another example of ignorance from the "Gedolim"?

DeleteIts a litvish Jewish food. Other Jews ate other dishes
DeleteWhat makes kugel traditional, and therefore Jewish, but not pizza? The whole idea is stupid מעקרה.
DeleteIt sounds like the same stupidity that elevates corrupted German (aka Yiddish) to a status above לשון הקודש.
