I feel bad for the police officers who have to spend the next few days, but especially the ones on shift for the next day or two. It is holiday for them too. In a normal year, most of them would be home with their families and enjoying the Pesach seder, in whatever capacity they celebrate.

Of course, it is necessary, but I feel bad for them. I feel bad that they are going to miss the holiday night, they are going to miss being with their families and having their seder that they have also surely been preparing for and looking forward to.

They are giving this up to keep us safe, and mostly now to protect us from ourselves...
