ben - i saw that last night and was wondering how quickly, and by whom, it would be mentioned.
Though the post was not mine, I would respond one of 2 ways: 1. that is not the eida but one rav in the eida. and an anglo rav at that. where are the posters and all the regular jazz used by the eida for disseminating information.
2. yes, the eida stepped up and called for tefillos. but they only did so a week after rav elyashiv went into critical condition. better late than never, but still a valid criticism.
