Reminds me of the old chauvinistic joke. Ask a man what are the chances that when you walk outside your front door you'll see a dinosaur, he will answer something to the tune of 0.000000001% . Ask a woman, she will say 50/50. Because after all, either you will or you won't. Gee, you think that beyond the stupidity factor this is a clear biblical violation of gneivat daat?
Just another proof that learning gemara is better than any secular education out there.

Actually, Lee Child makes the same mistake in the latest Jack Reacher novel.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Livni-logic:
ReplyDeleteIn recent days, former US officials estimated that Kerry's chances of succeeding were "around 10%." Tzipi Livni is unimpressed by the numbers: "It's not a matter of percentages," she says. "Either there will be an agreement or there won't be."
