I am actually not very "machmir" at all. I am dati leumi. All frum Jews don't deem it appropriate to watch women dancing-that's one of the reasons why all frum weddings, whether dati leumi or haredi have separate dancing. It's one thing if one is watching a youtube video and unexpectedly one accidentally seems something inappropriate. But, Rafi is a frum Jew and therefore I think that both and his Rav oppose disseminating such material of women dancing (not to mention that the music isn't exactly wholesome.)
So if Rafi thinks any reader might be unhappy with this video, he should introduce it with a Warning note like: "Caution: contains mixed dancing", or "Caution: shows women in dungarees" or k'domeh??
i really am quite open-minded but we need to be realistic while applying judaism to all areas of our lives. this blog has so much to offer-why the need to post a video which forces us to watch things that frum Jews should not watch.
please remove this video which is inappropriate by religious standards
ReplyDeletewhat religious standards deem it inappropriate?
Deleterafi,
ReplyDeletehow dare you have in your blog things that violate anonymous's religious standards such as referring to Hebrew U or mentioning a "library"?!
BTW, don't you have a "Vaad rabanim leinyanei lifeinIsrael blog" that authorizes what your blog entries before you post?
