Netanyahu comes in at 21

According to Forbes, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the 21st most powerful person in the world.

Considering all the noise we make in Israel, and all the attention (both good and bad) that every thing Netanyahu says or does gets, I would have expected Netanyahu to be at least in the top ten, if not top five.

This must be yet another display of anti-semitism, putting Netanyahu so low on the list.

And, this is a pretty poor showing for a nation and race that controls the world and the media..

I wonder if we have an inflated sense of the level of importance and influence we have in the world... the amount of attention paid to us by the United Nations seems to say no, but Forbes seems to say yes...

  1. I don't think it is "we" who have the inflated sense of Israel's importance. If the rest of the world would let us be, I'm quite sure everyone from the Right and Left would be quite happy to get on with the business of being productive and taking care of our citizens and otherwise making our contributions when and where the opportunity arises.

Of course, on a mystical level, we really are all that important; out of all proportion to our size. We just have to go back to the discussion of 'what does b'reishit mean?'.

Whadd'ya mean "we", Kimosavee? My non-Jewish relatives in America all think Netanyahu's wonderful.
