I agree with the sentiment overall, and people (not just sem girls) inviting themselves over are often rude like that, but why is kashrut the only thing she isn't willing to discuss? or, rather, she is willing to preach to them on what she believes in, but she isn't willing to be challenged or questioned on anything..

The bigger issue is the fact that these seminaries charge these girls $20K+ and then essentially place the burden of hosting/feeding them on Shabbat on local communities. Same with yeshivas that have local shabbatonim. There are so many, we end up getting requests to host boys/girls like once a month. Certainly nice to host once in a while but it places a real burden on families.
