The assistants in the house of Rav Chaim Kanievsky have made some changes to what goes on there because of the CoronaVirus. Being an elderly man, especially with so many visitors, Rav Chaim is at great risk of exposure. To limit that, they have now shut down all visitation.

For the past week or so, visitors were not being allowed to shake or kiss his hand, but now visitors can't even come in to the house, until further notice.

Until further notice, one can contact Rav Chaim Kanievsky with questions and requests for blessings only via fax. A fax machine was set up in the house for this purpose, and the number is 03-547-9183. If you are sending in a question, you need to write it clearly along with your name and phone number.

In urgent situations, one can arrange a personal private visit in advance.

Circumcisions with Rav Chaim as sandek will continue but only in a special cordoned off section of the Lederman beis medrash with fewer than 100 people present.
