Interesting Psak: Alco-Gel on Pesach
The craze for washing disinfecting hands regularly, at short intervals, either by washing with soap and water or by using a product like Purell or Alcogel, has had people wondering if these hand washing products could be used on Pesach even without a special "kosher l'pesach" hechsher.
Rav Elazar Stern, a posek on the Badatz of Kehilos, has paskened that while one should try to get such a product with a KLP hechsher, one could wash his hands with any of these products if unable to get the KLP version, despite the possibility of the alcohol ingredient being made from chametz. If one uses an uncertified product on pesach, before touching food he should wash his hands well to ensure all remnants of the alcogell will have been washed away.

COR has come out with the same ruling. They have confirmed that Purell is chametz free.
