there is never anything wrong with a good bowl of festive chicken soup, even if it has fluffy matza balls in it, but there is nothing specific about this for Chanukah...

God forbid! You misunderstood me. We happen to only eat matza balls on pesach and they have to be dense sinkers. I said nothing wrong with a good bowl of soup even if it has fluffy matza balls.... :-)
