When we lived in Oak Park, we grew some very large, tasty tomatoes on a strip of land alongside our house, facing the driveway. The steam from our next door neighbors' clothes dryer exhaust on the other side of the driveway helped create an ideal growing climate even in the Fall. Good thing we never thought of planting them in front!
