Sarkozy explained that his comment about Netanyahu being a liar, made at the G20 conference to an unknown hot mic while chatting with US President Barak Obama, was out of frustration that Israel rebuffed his efforts to get France recognized in the Shalit prisoner swap and refusing to use a French helicopter to fly Shalit home from Egypt. All because Gilad Shalit is also a French citizen. As if Sarkozy did anything to deserve it. No prisoners were released from French prisons in exchange for Shalit.
