Bennet and Habayit Hayehudi MKs walk out of foreign leaders speech (video)
President of the EU Parliament Martin Schulz was honored with speaking in the Knesset, in German. During his speech he accused the Israelis of holding a siege on Gaza, as well as accusing the Israelis of giving only 17 liters of water per day to Palestinians, while Israelis get 70. This is a number he was told in Ramallah, but is in fact not true, both by Israeli numbers from the water company Mekorot and by Palestinian official numbers. the number is actually 65 liters per Palestinian. Habayit Hayehudi MKs interrupted his speech and walked out.
President of the EU Parliament, Martin Schulz, speaking in german from Knesset podium:
Minister Naftali Bennet explaining why they walked out, what the problem was with what Schulz said:
Minister Gideon Saar criticizing Bennet and Habayit Hayehudi saying this is inappropriate 9childish) behavior..
more interesting, I think, is that PM Netanyahu criticized Schulz afterwards. He could have criticized Bennet and Habayit Hayehudi for screaming and walking out... and that would have fit with the ongoing friction between them. Instead Netanyahu criticized Schulz for his "selective hearing", for quoting an unsubstantiated, and incorrect, fact without first confirming it..

I think that the BY was wrong for stepping out. The heckling might be suitable for internal Knesset sessions, but Tibi proved that you look ridiculous when it is a head of state / diplomat, and even more ridiculous for stepping out.
