Lapid's big announcement on Shabbos
So our Finance Minister, Yair Lapid, called an impromptu sort of press conference outside his house on Shabbos morning. He gathered the journalists together and spent 90 seconds reading an announcement about the budget negotiations.
Big deal. We know he does not keep Shabbos. We know he has performed official duties, or appearances, on Shabbos.
He "made" the journalists and reporters lose their own Shabbos to try to get a story? bah to them. They should know already. They should have told him wait until tonight, I am out watching my kid play football, or, we are having shabbat lunch now, or whatever. Barring a dramatic announcement, they should just not show up to such things.
Lapid comes from media. He knows the news cycle. He knows no average story would get reported at that time. This would not be a big deal. Most of them anyway don't keep shabbos, so they weren't forced to desecrate. They lost part of their day off? don't be such lapdogs to run at every beck and call.

That's the point. His media friends know how the media works and they went expecting some real story like he was leaving the coalition due to X Y Z. Instead, he made a glorious twitter post IRL.
