an ironic exchange in the Knesset
one cannot help but snicker at this exchange that happened today in the Knesset.
MK Yitzchak Cohen (Shas), from the Knesset podium, said today, directing his words at Yair Lapid "Yair - I want to tell you something about the parshat hashavua (this week's Torah portion), parshat Yitro..."
Lapid interrupted Cohen right then and there saying "Itzik, Parshat Yitro was last week's parsha"...
source: Amit Segal, political correspondent of Channel 2
how can one not laugh at that?

Wow. He said "this week" when he meant "last week." Will the fun-train never stop?
ReplyDeleteno matter how minor the mistake, any day that Yair Lapid can correct a haredi (or any religious) MK about something in the Torah is a funny day
ReplyDeleteSure the parasha was all over on posters and everywhere, so how can Lapid not have known. Sure he wouldn't have known otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI guess Itzik Cohen didnt see those posters
ReplyDeleteVery funny. Thank you!
