security situation resolved..
So the government coalition heads meeting today decided that the IDF Draft Law impasse has no immediate resolution and there is no choice but to dissolve the government and move to early elections. The date of elections will seemingly be at the beginning of April, shortly before Pesach.
OK. It is always nice for the people to get an extra paid vacation day (though us freelancers don't really benefit from this)... Right before Pesach has an added benefit of people having a day off to vote and then deal with Pesach preparations.
The real question is that just a week or two ago Bibi avoided elections by telling the public how Israel is in the midst of an extremely serious, and secret, security situation and now is not the time for elections - too dangerous. So, was that security situation resolved quietly that now it is ok to go to elections?
