It was a nice event and inspiring event, but I can't understand how Shlomo Mandel was given any Kavod there. His father was a Tzadik Gamur, but he is far from it. I pulled my son out of YOB when other parents called me to say that their kids were telling them how "Reb Shloime" was beating up my son every day. We asked my son, and he denied it at first, but finally admitted it. He'd been afraid to tell us since he thought he was being punished for doing something wrong, and that we'd punish him more if we found out. The only reason we didn't go to the police was that our Rav recommended against it, since we'd have problems getting our son, or any other children, into a "good" school if we were seen as Mosrim.
