Quote of the Day
The Hatzioniut Hadatit people who said that you can learn Torah and also serve, that it is possible to learn Torah and do other things, will never be forgiven. They have brought this idea into people's heads and now we have to deal with the great damage it has caused..
-- MK Uri Maklev (UTJ) at a yeshiva camp
it's about time they are dealing with it (not the way he meant though)

so it's like ' they are off the derech , they are freierim for dying , they don't pay us enough money , and add to that they are meisit u'meidiach ? i guess all dati leumi are destined to gei hinnom... at least the haredi version of it....
ReplyDeleteWell, clearly charedim are able to do other things, like go to camp, and *not* learn.
ReplyDeleteThey do learn in camp.
DeleteSo why go to one?
DeleteHe is a reform Jew. Not literally, of course, because we don't yet have a word for his novel style of heresy. He denies an open
He mocks Chaim Brisker who said that the Vilna Gaon and שאגת אריה would be the only qualified soldiers, and would win the war.
He denies all the statements of חז"ל and sages through the generation who talked about people who learned and did other things.
By implication, he is saying that one who does other things (like being a MK) can't learn. Otherwise they'd be learning and doing other things. As such כל הפוסל במומו פוסל and he has admitted that he is an עם הארץ. For he is doing other things, and by his own admission can't learn.
