A good wish, but unfortunately, not going to happen significantly. Due to the drought years, we had to create the infrastructure for desalinization plants which are expensive to build and maintain. Sure, we're paying more for those separate water authorities run by political cronies, but even with the current plan to unite and reduce those numbers, we still have to keep this water production capacity around just in case.
On the other hand, we are still subsidizing the Arabs electrically, and that can stop at any time.
