Rav Nir Ben Artzi's recent predictions for an earthquake in Turkey, among other predictions, are looking pretty authentic. Not resting on his laurels, Rav Nir Ben Artzi has added to his recent set of predictions.

Regarding the recent earthquake in Turkey, he said this was only round 1, and more is on its way. Turkey, according to Rav Nir Ben Artzi, has internal strife coming, along with more earthquakes. He added that any country that will speak and act against the Jewish nation and the Holy Land will immediately be hurt.

He also said Japan has another tsunami coming. I don't know what Japan did against Israel, but maybe its troubles are not following the same rules as Turkey's troubles.

As well, he said the USA will also continue to be hit with the strong forces of nature at their full power. In Egypt, the internal strife is so far only the beginning, and the recent uprisings will flare up again and strengthen.

He repeated from previous speeches that the recently released terrorists will not return to terror. They will fight among themselves and won't find the time to act against Israel. While Gilad Shalit, without even knowing it himself, has caused a great tikkun for Am Yisrael.

I don't know how, or if, these predictions work and happen, or if these are just warnings for us to improve our ways and the "natural" results of doing so, but I find his speeches to be interesting and intriguing.

The innocent civilians of Turkey are not at fault for the idiocy of the government, and specifically of their prime minister Erdogan. Of course, they voted him in, and re-elected him again, so in a sense they do bear a certain responsibility, knowing and obviously approving of his policies and his attacks on Israel.

Still, I don't wish upon the people trouble and distress, though I wish upon the government all the trouble it can possibly encounter. Today's earthquake is an example of that - a 7.2 on the Richter scale that hit in Eastern Turkey. I feel for the people, and I expect Israel will offer assistance as they always do, but my empathy is tempered because of the way the government has recently been acting, turnign us into enemies.

And the supporters of Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi are saying that his predictions are right once again, as he recently predicted such tzurres in Turkey (along with many other calamities in the coming year). I want to know who he thinks will win the Super Bowl. He might be better than Paul the Octopus!

Yesterday I saw Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi's parsha sheet for Shabbat Hol HaMoed. The article was focused on his predictions for the coming year, though he did not really say anything specific. Rabbi Ben Artzi did say that the coming year would bring tragedies and natural disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes and others, that would be much harsher than those of previous years. Of course he also spoke about the safety of being in Eretz Yisrael, and the threat of war which would not amount to anything.

Kikar reported that he also weighed in on the "Shalit Deal" - the agreement to release Gilad Shalit. Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi said:

With God's help no harm will come to the deal and he will be released on Tuesday and will arrive in Eretz Yisrael.  Some like it, and some don't like it and ask "Why?", but Hashem is the one who did this. Not the prime minister and not anyone else in the world - they didn't bring him to Eretz Yisrael.
Why did Gilad Shalit not come back three years ago? It is the same plan. Rather, the world was not ready for it back then. If these thousand would have been released then, wherever they would have been put - they would have caused great destruction, so Hashem decided only now to do this. If the deal had happened three years ago, they would have organized themselves and made a balagan 100 times worse than they can now.
Now they will destroy themselves, they will fight with each other, they will fight over who will rule. They will come to Gaza and will receive great honor, the honor of kings. In the end they will fight and consume each other - this is the plan of Hashem. Everyone can calm down - this is what Hashem has decided.
Am Yisrael should accept it with great love, that this should be successful. Now it is very fitting that there should be bracha and hatzlacha. Those thousand that are being released - their sword will come to their hearts and they will each consume the other.

Because I have given some coverage to the predictions of gloom, doom and redemption of the eccentric Rabbi Nir Ben-Artzi, I feel obligated to mention Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar's comments on the phenomenon as well.

Kikar has the audio interview of Radi Kol Chai and Rav Amar discussing the issue, you can hear it there. To summarize what was said, they discussed the issue without relating to any specific person, just the concept in general of someone making such predictions and claiming to receive messages from god.

Rav Amar said that such people are false prophets in every sense of the word.. and many of them are themselves very distant from Torah and have no yirat shamayim... there have always been false prophets, even in the days of the neviim, and they were cheats who presented themselves as prophets.. there are some in our days who claim to know more than the greatest neviim, yet the lions portion of them falls in the most serious of sins. It begins with stealing money from people, and leads to failings of very serious temptations and temptation of honor. Every person who is concerned for himself should keep his distance form these people. He has no kedusha, no tahara, and it is the use of deception...
There is no such thing as having special powers, and if a person says he can walk to the moon, it is impossible and you don't need to go check it.
Regarding the predictions of Rav Nir Ben-Artzi specifically, Rav Amar said that anyone who checks will see that the various predictions were only said after the events happened.

Rav Nir Ben-Artzi responded by saying that he is not looking to fight with anybody, and he is not doing any bad to anybody. All he wants to do is to help the people of Israel. I am in favor of unity of all of Israel and I have nothing bad against anybody. "I was given a gift from heaven only to use for good things. B"H I have zchut avot that comes from the chain of my ancestors".

Rabbi Nir Ben-Artzi has been predicting gloom and doom for the world outside Israel recently. Earthquakes, tsunamis, starvation, economic collapse, and more.

Louis Farrakhan dear friend of Moammar Qaddafi

Minister Louis Farrakhan is now predicting a major earthquake in the United States, though for different reasons. I guess when the quake hits it doesn't really matter what the reason is. A quake is a quake is a quake.

Farrakhan is a friend of Libyan President Moammar Qhaddafi/Gaddafy/Khadafy, he with the last name that is spelled differently even more frequently than my own last name! Farrakhan said in a speech yesterday that Qaddafi is a good guy and the US will take a thumping because of their treatment of him.

Minister Louis Farrakhan is continuing his defense of embattled Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, saying he's a friend who's lent the Nation of Islam $8 million over the years.
"It is a terrible thing for me to hear my brother called all these ugly and filthy names when I can't recognize him as that," he said during the rare two-hour news conference Thursday in Chicago.
He said money borrowed from Gadhafi helped the Chicago-based movement acquire its headquarters years ago. Libyan money also helped the Nation of Islam pay back taxes on the home of its founder.
Farrakhan says the U.S. government shouldn't be attacking Libya when it has stayed out of other conflicts around the world. He insists Gadhafi has done a lot of good for the Libyan people.
"I don't care what Gadhafi has done wrong, he's not the "Mad Dog of the Middle East." The mad dogs are growling and biting in Washington, D.C.," he said.
Farrakhan said he originally wasn't going to talk about Libya and had scheduled the news conference to warn America a huge earthquake is coming.
"A major earthquake is on the way to you and me and us," he said. "Death and destruction is at the door of all of us and we are worst prepared than the Japanese."

Looks like the two have something in common..the penchant for predicting earthquakes..

Rav Nir Ben Artzi has been making predictions of doom and gloom for a while now. So far, it has mostly been in radio interviews and in talks to his students which were later publicized. Rav Ben Artzi is now "on tour", so to speak, and has been going around to different communities making speeches.

Yesterday Rav Nir Ben Artzi gave a speech, for the first time ever, to a packed hall in Bnei Brak.

Bechadrei reports on the speech with some excerpts of what he said. Ben Artzi claims that he knows where gold can be found in Israel, just he is not allowed to say where. Hashem, he said, does not want it revealed right now.

Ben Artzi said that next week there will be a massive earthquake somewhere in the world. The quake will be one that is capable of wiping out cities in Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

Lebanon, he said, will shoot missiles into Israel, but it wont be serious.

In Lebanon, Jordan and Syria there will be revolutions and wars.

The Jews of America should make aliya to Israel. There will be a collapse of the economy there, and when there will be starvation, they will first go to the homes of the Jews and take whatever they can get a hold of. Nothing will help, not the police and not the rule of law.

In Japan, and all other countries that have nuclear reactors, they will explode. Hashem will do this because their goal is to create destruction in the world, and Hashem will destroy it.

Rav ben Artzi's solution for staying safe is that people should daven with a minyan and not by the wall in their own house. Whoever davens in his house, the shechina is not with him.

Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi, the eccentric kabbalist who has started making his predictions again. His previous public prediction was publicized via his students, but this time he has come out himself and spoke on the radio.

Ben Artzi's latest prediction is that the world is now falling apart, and it is the time of the geula. The global economies are going to collapse, first America's economy, and then Europe's will follow. He then called upon the Jews from around the world to come and move to Eretz Yisrael immediately. The air train to Israel has already begun, he said, and it will soon pick up the pace. The Creator wants the jewish people to come together and be together.

Rabbi Ben Artzi says there will be an attempt to destroy what is in Iran, then Syria and Lebanon will get together with Gaza to cooperate with each other against Israel. Hashem won't let them. The Americans will give the go-ahead to destroy the Iranian nuclear reactor.

Ben Artzi predicts that under the ground of Israel there is a wealth of resources, and they will soon be discovered. The world is going to change, and the evil world is going to come apart. The whole world is suffering from madness, and only Israel is not, as Israel is protected.

Ben Artzi also predicted that we should expect rockets to be shot at us from Lebanon. The rockets will fall in the sea, but they will strengthen us.

He says there will be an earthquake in Israel. By Hashem there is no difference between those who are religious and those who are not.

Doesn't sound like anything major or unexpected earth shattering (except the earthquake) news...

Rav Nir Ben Artzi is a bit of a strange bird. He is a kabbalist, so that might explain his seeming strange to most "regular" people. He has been known to predict the future, whether correctly or not I dont know though his followers say he foresaw the 9/11 attacks. He has also declared himself as the mashiach on a number of occasions.

Ben Artzi disappeared for a while (4 years I think), supposedly he was abducted. He came back, or was released, over a year ago, but has mostly kept out of the limelight since then, not making public appearances.

He has now made his first public prediction since the abduction. Here is what he said:
People should minimize their travel, even stop it completely, if possible. The whole world is in danger. if one must travel for work, parnassah, or for a miztva or for bringing Jews back to Eretz Yisrael, that is fine. But not just for travel - there is no protection because the shechina is not in chutz la'aretz.

He then claimed the strange weather in the USA is a result of the demands on Israel to freeze construction. They first demanded it, so Hashem froze over New York. They demanded again, so He froze over New Jersey. Whenever they talk about a freeze, Hashem brings to them strong winds for them to have to deal with.

The floods are increasing in Australia. More countries will be flooded over and disappear from the world. There are problems with airplanes and flights, causing mix ups and confusion. Many radar systems and satellites have been messed up. Strange things will continue to occur around the world, birds falling out of the air, fish washing up out of the sea. All this is the hand of Hashem. Nobody can stop Him.

The economy around the world will continue to fall apart. The Chinese think they will conquer the world, but they will soon be hit badly. China was strengthened in order to bring about the downfall of the American, Russian and European economies, but then China will also come apart. (source: Bechadrei)

What do we do with this type of information, besides for changing travel plans? Believe it? Ignore it? I guess a good idea is to use it, whether true or not, even if skeptical, as an impetus for teshuva.
