demanding of yourself
The march to Evyatar today, to pressure the government regarding the issue of legalizing this, and other, settlements, is interesting.
In the march participated government ministers, deputy ministers and Members of Knesset from coalition parties, along with rabbis and many regular people who support the cause.
They are part of the government and they are marching to make demands of the government! They are the government! They are marching to pressure themselves and the people they have agreements with! Just go to work and regulate Evyatar and force Netanyahu to play along. Why is a march needed for this?

separate swimming coming to a spring near you..
According to Kikar, announced shortly before Pesach, Minister of Environmental Protection Idit Silman has decided to run a pilot program this coming summer for mehadrin swimming at springs around Israel. The pilot program will include two natural springs - Han Hashlosha (Sachne) up north next to Bet Shean, and Ein Tzuki down south near the Dead Sea. Obviously if the pilot works well this will be expanded.
The pilot will have separate swimming in these springs from 6pm until 10pm (when the sites close for the day).
The article doesnt give more specifics of how this will work other than to say there will be these designated times for separate swimming. Will it be 6-8 men and 8-10 women? the opposite? Alternating every hour or 30 minutes? Will the springs be sectioned off so everyone can swim at the same time with men in one section and women in another?
It is a shame this didnt happen already on Pesach, with the masses out all over the country, but Pesach is just a day or two of tiyulim, so not a big deal. The summer is 2-3 months long so plenty of time for the masses to enjoy....

downtime = uptime
It was just revealed that right before the holiday hackers waged a cyber attack against various Israeli sites and systems. One of those they successfully attacked was the network of the Postal Services Authority.
The Postal Authority announced that some services have been disrupted as a result of the attack and temporarily the system for making appointments in the post office branches is unavailable, as are several other services they provide.
It seems nobody could tell that the postal system had been attacked and affected. Their downtime doesnt seem that different from normal operations... :-)

Oliver's Kiddush Hashem
Oliver Ferber! Wow. Sticking to your ideals and making a kiddush hashem when it doesn't work out and then again when it does. And getting written up about it in ESPN and spreading all that around the world. Amazing
Briefly, as you can read the full story in ESPN, Oliver goes to a Jewish school in Maryland and was a competitive runner. He became more religious during the pandemic and decided to no longer run on Shabbat, but the State championships were held on Shabbat. He held his ground and didnt run, upsetting all those around him. The next year he described his experience to the director of the state championship race and the director was touched by Oliver's request and description of his experience that he put forth some additional effort and moved the race to a Sunday for the next year.
Oliver Ferber for the win!
For Ferber there was a happy ending, after all the tribulations and deliberations he had to go through. That doesn't always happen and Ferber didnt know it would for him either, and was fully resigned to not giving up his Shabbat to accomplish what he had always dreamed about and worked for....

Freedom of Religious Worship
Tensions were high this morning with hundreds of extremist Muslims going into Al Aksa and barricading themselves inside, remaining after the permitted time and refusing to leave. When the police got involved, it raised general tensions even more and rockets were shot from Gaza into Israel, supposedly in retaliation for Israel's attack on the Temple Mount.
In an attempt to calm the situation, and especially the angry foreign countries like Jordan, Egypt and others, PM Netanyahu said, after explaining what happened and how Israel responded carefully in order to allow prayers to continue and Muslim worshippers to be able to pray, "Israel is committed to safeguarding the freedom of worship, the free access for all religions and the status quo on Har Habayit, and will not allow violent extremists to change that".
I am in favor of his attempt to calm things down but I do find it ironic for him to talk publicly about free access to all religions, freedom of worship, and all that jazz the same day they have been arresting Jewish activists for trying to worship the Pesach holiday on Har Habayit the way the Torah mandates. And of course the regular prevention of Jews ascending Har Habayit to pray or do any noticeably religious activity..
