Apart from wondering where the haredi education dept. gets the money to print and deliver such a big glossy brochure, I have a real problem with this. Whenever there is an event for boys it states "no entrance to mothers" What hell is that about??? What could possibly be the problem with mothers accompanying their children to a children's show?? What is going on in these shows that is not suitable for women to see for goodness sakes??? What about the children who do not have a father to take them?? Why are women being excluded from public events? Why are we allowing this talibanization of RBS? Can anyone explain what is going on here?
I have never been to one of these events, so i can only guess. My guess would be not that there is somethign inappropriate in the content for the mothers to see. Rather, if the event is for boys, it is likely some fathers will be there accompanying their children. If mothers are allowed in, the situation will arise where both mothers and fathers are there. Perhaps it will lead to mingling. perhaps it will lead to mixed dancing.
