Rav Ovadia Composes Tefilla For Soldiers Of IDF
NRG is reporting on a special prayer composed by Rav Ovadia Yosef on behalf of the safety of the soldiers of the IDF.
Ever since the prime minister sent his people to consult Rav Ovadia regarding the issue of Iran, Rav Ovadia has expressed serious concern about the issue, and has been trying to work the heavenly system, so to speak, on behalf of the IDF.
Interestingly, the people from SHAS felt it important to add that Rav Ovadia's concern is not just for those in the IDF who follow him, but he is also concerned for the soldiers who are not happy with the fact that sensitive consultations are conducted on the issue with Rav Ovadia.
Here is a copy of the tefilla that is going to soon be distributed, to be said on behalf of the soldiers of the IDF.

Why is this considered a Tefila for the IDF if there is only a brief mention of them? It seems to be a general Tefilla for any trouble that may befall us.
ReplyDeletepoint taken, but its more than a few words.. its the entire second paragraph,,,
ReplyDeleteTo me, it just looks like the beginning of the second paragraph. It then goes on to auto accidents and illness.

ReplyDeleteWhat the British might call an "all-comprehensive insurance policy".
