Eida wins in court to allow kapparos on the sreets
The Eida has appealed in court the government decision about restricting kapparos.
I don't know how often this happens, that the Eida goes to the evil Zionist courts to deal with its issues. Usually they just stage protests. Maybe in the future they will prefer this method over the protest method, especially after receiving favorable results.
Anyways, the court decided in favor of the Eida and said the custom of shlugging kapparos can continue exactly as it has in the past. The reason is because the judge recognizes that there has not actually been a change in the law - meaning the petitioners can continue acting under the same set of rules as they have done in the past.If the growers were in the past allowed to deliver the chickens to non-slaughterhouses for kapparos, they can continue to do so, though the court qualified this ruling to be only for this Yom Kippur.
This evening already kapparos stands were starting to function in different areas, and tomorrow there will probably be some more.. I'm still going to be doing it with money, but some chickens should be available for those who prefer that.
