Commonplace in the memorabilia community of bet shemesh. I was with my family in Thora forest, flagged down the police car patrolling the roads for directions to Samson's tomb, and then wished the officer Shana tova. He said back the more religious blessing ktiva v'chatima tova (may you be inscribed in the book of life). Got the same reply when corresponding with a chiloni council member too.
