My guess is that it was either made as a joke, or by someone who realizes that Yair is a political liability and wants people to associate Yair with Likud.

I am sure that there are many Likud voters (one of whom is sitting in my chair right now now writing this comment) who would seriously reconsider whether to vote Likud if Yair was on their list, or the party was in anyway associated with Yair's statements.
