Quote of the Day

Be strict about following the guidelines as if it is the Torah

-- PM Benjamin Netanyahu in a falafel shop in Ramle. After he bought falafel and insisted on paying he asked about customers returning and if they are careful with the guidelines.

When he says to follow the guidelines like it is the Torah, I assume he does not mean like how he follows the Torah.... :-)

  2. interestingly, your question made me do some research. while the news reported he went to a ffalafel shop, he actually went to a grill spot called Aviku. Aviku is a classic Israeli grill restaurant and they also have shawarma, which is what i think he got. in the videos online it isnt clear, but he asked for an ishtanur (the Yerushalmi name commonly used for a laffa) and you can see him asking for chips and charif, and someone asks if he wants amba. I think he got a shawarma.
anyways, aviku is listed online as kosher, so I assume Rabbanut. it doesnt say mehadrin. At least one or two of the people behind the counter are wearing a kippa, but others are not.
