Not entirely groundbreaking. In the late 70s or early 80s, the OU Israel Center (then on Rehov Strauss in Yerushalayim) held midnight marches on leil Yom Yerushalayim led by tour guide (and Michlalah student) Debbie Kay. She gave a tour several hours long, accompanied by her playing the halil at times, and ending at Rav Nahman Kahane's beit midrash Hazon Yehezkel for a talk by Rav Kahane followed by sunrise davening. We did this, with some variations, for at least a few years in the 80s before I lost track of it after moving away.
