Beitar man announces in Yiddish to deceive police... or does he?
This is in two parts...
Initially the following video was posted online, and many, including myself, thought it funny, and tragic.
I dont speak Yiddish (if one of you does, please translate accurately what he said in the comments. thank you), but the report connected to the video explained that the police were in Beitar and there was a crowd congregating and ignoring their orders. They asked this fellow to announce in Yiddish to break it up and go home because of the lockdown. In Yiddish this fellow supposedly tells them all to go up to their homes for a few minutes and after the police leaves they can come back down.
Funny and tragic.
a little while later this fellow posts a video explaining what he did.
he says he was in coordination with the police and that the people were congregating because the police had arrived. Action, as they say. he said what he needed to say to get them to leave. He did not mean to pull a fast one on the police and does not want people to think that is what he was doing. He shows the scene behind him with only a few people in view and they are wearing masks to show that the people in Beitar are keeping the rules.
This is a reminder, that any picture or video is just the capturing of a moment in time and it is showing you what they want to show you. It does not necessarily mean you are seeing the full picture and know what really happened.
And I am not saying which if these videos is more truth. Maybe he regrets the impression he gave int he first so he tried to fix it with a second video, even though he really intended to pull a fast one over the police initially. Or maybe not, and maybe the second is a true explanation. I have no idea.
