According to Ynet, [part of] the reason the numbers of positive Corona infections are skyrocketing among the Haredi community is because they have identified an amazing opportunity, and the price for participation is being Corona-positive.

What is this amazing opportunity that we all might want in on? 

A free, full board, two week vacation for the family in a Coronotel (Corona Hotel), and being on a holiday when expenses would otherwise be through the roof makes it extra special!

According to Ynet, the past few days have seen a spike in the numbers, and also a spike in the requests to be sent as a family to a Coronotel. The IDF Home Front, who is responsible for operating the Coronotels, has been opening additional hotels to meet the demand. As of now, Ynet says, there are 18 Coronotels for the Haredi community and another 8 for the general population. 6200 Haredim are staying in Coronotels, and 1200 of the general population.

Ynet claims that people are intentionally infecting their family members in order to qualify for the Cotonotels. Both the Kupot Cholim and the Pikud HaOref supposedly are aware of what is going on and trying to find ways to prevent it.

The claim sounds crazy, but who knows? It could be a big savings and a decent getaway. I am not quire sure it is really much of a vacation, but whatever.

I can't wait until all these people start complaining that the hotel was a dump, the food was lousy, the conditions were upsetting.... in the past there were many complaints like that (though I heard some of the hotels were decent as well). These are not 5 star hotels.
