doing the right thing
Right now Benny Gantz and his Kachol Lavan party look like a sinking ship as another MK from the party announced she will be leaving
I feel bad for him, but that's politics. Twice Gantz threw himself under the stretcher for the good of the country, basically got burned both times, with no personal benefit to him. Leaders like that are to be respected and encouraged. I guess Gantz is proof that doing the right thing doesnt pay off personally, and in our version of politics even makes you look like a loser.

Parties like his have a known trajectory. Famous leader bursts onto the scene. Gets a bunch of seats in the first election. And by the second election, he's either wiped out or reduced to 2-3 seats. Remember Reful? Remember Naftali Bennett? Yair Lapid is the only one who's managed to maintain a decent seat count but even so, he's perpetually at the back of the bus.
ReplyDeleteThrew himself under the stretcher, right.
