In light of the "Danny Dayan fiasco", in which Brazil refused to accept the appointment of Danny Dayan as Israel's ambassador to Brazil due his having been a previous director of the Yesha Council, MK Issawi Frij (Meretz) has proposed another law that has about 0% chance of passing.

Frij has proposed that a person living outside the official sovereign borders of Israel cannot be appointed to serve as Ambassador or Consul or head of a delegation.

Frij says Netanyahu has turned the Foreign Ministry into an office that instead of building relations with other nations works to damage relations and provoke other nations, and to legitimize the settlers, settlements, and the occupation.

This won't pass, and it shouldn't pass. Many of the settlers were sent to their settlements over the years by the Israeli governments. Sometimes directly, sometimes indirectly with encouragement. This is true of both Labor and Lid led governments. Let us not forget that Labor was really the father of the settlement movement, well before the Likud got involved. You can't just ban those people, people who participate fully in every other aspect of Israeli life - taxes, army, government, business, etc. and take away their rights.

It was only a matter of time, considering how extreme ultra-orthodox Judaism has become over time, and especially in recent years...

Someone asked Rav Bentzion Mutzafi how he can get started in giving shiurim to women. He was looking for direction. It was not even a halachic question - just saying what he intended to do and asking for some direction.

Rav Mutzafi responded that it is completely prohibited for a male lecturer to lecture in front of women, and he is a sinner for doing so, as the Torah says "do not stray..and after your eyes". They should have a female lecturer who will prepare a week in advance with midrashim, mussar, and words of Chazal, and she should present them to the women.

I don't think this needs any further comment...

Today is the day that the government was supposed to give the final approval to doing away with faxes. No longer will people be required to send their documents in by fax, but more modern methods of communication are to become acceptable, such as using email and "other forms of digital media", whatever that means - maybe Whatsapp, maybe the toolbar they used to stick in to IE and use that for submitting forms, maybe something else.

I have not seen a report if the approval actually went through or not, but I think it is safe to assume it either was or will be imminently, as the approval was basically a formality as it had already been approved in earlier discussions about it.

Haredi news sites (Kooker, Kikar, etc) are reporting from a "friend" that Friedman's new style is an indication that he wants to be less frum, changing his lifestyle and being less interested in keeping Torah and mitzvos.

considering what he was before, it is mostly a lifestyle change and not a change in his level of frumkeit, but that's his personal issue, and just choosing short jackets and colored shirts and a different hat does not mean someone is not frum, though that is what his friend thinks it means.

Anyways, that is more of a discussion for sociologists.

The question I have, that isn't mentioned in the article, is he still rabidly anti-Israel? Is that part of his life being changed as well? Will he continue meeting with the Iranians and locking arms with Palestinian protesters?

there was another long interview, but it was only audio and he doesn't really say anything different. Not sure why Lapid is suddenly on the circuit with three major interviews in such a short span of time...
