According to Arbel, Moatti was passed over in the ministerial and committee head appointments, and as the MK holding the number 3 slot, she should have been given a significant appointment. The ones below her, who did get appointments, have far less political experience than she.  

Arbel petitioned this requesting this be looked into as possible discrimination, pointing at the rich history of discrimination in the Labor party.

I have zero interest in defending the Labor party and have no unique insight into whether this was discrimination or not. I have no problem with the authorities looking into it and taking action if necessary. What I do find interesting about this is that Arbel is a member of a party, Shas, that has no Ashkenazim in its ranks and also has no women (Sephardic women either) and refuses to appoint women and to allow them to run for a party slot. One could also complain about the many parties that do not have Arabs on its lists, but that might be going too far. 

This looks like the classic case of a pot calling the kettle black.
