The other day the Bostoner Rebbe and Rav Kook of Rehovot announced an initiative to arrange soldiers to be able to submit their names and have people daven for them, and people could register to receive names of soldiers for davening. The notice I saw had a phone number attached to it.

Shaul pointed me to Rabbi Haber's website where he details the program of "Adopt a Soldier" in the “Operation Tefillah, Torah & Troops” in more detail and tells you how to register to daven for a soldier, do a good deed for the merit of a specific soldier, etc.
