7 million
The police, in their work to thwart criminal activities in the town of Taibeh, raided a house. During the raid they found 7 million shekels in cash packed into bags. Additionally they found a loaded gun. A 29 year old was arrested as part of the raid.
7 million in cash? 7 million is 7 million but keeping it at home in cash doesnt seem very smart - it is getting eaten up by the current relatively high inflation.
The gun is totally not surprising. If you were keeping 7 million shekels in cash in bags in your house I would totally expect a gun to be nearby.
If you are curious what 7 million shekels in cash looks like, it is a bit underwhelming. I was kind of expecting several full suitcases:
