The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammed Zarif, said that John Kerry told him details of Israeli strikes on Syria at least 200 times back in the day when he was President Obama's Secretary of State.

I am just going to leave this here.. and mention that besides for a few nuances and points, nothing Kerry said was radical or new, and many Israeli politicians (specifically the ones who keep getting voted against) hold similar views. WHat upsets many is that this administration is doing this 3 weeks before leaving office with no ability to lead the peace issues in this direction. They should have been doing this for the past 8 years. It might have upset us then too, but at least they would have been honest about their views and work towards their goals and methods to make peace. Doing it now is just dishonest and backstabbing.

Kerry talking about the coming of a borderless world reminds me Shimon Peres holding similar beliefs. I would like them to point out one county, and its neighboring country, that is willing and ready to erase its borders and just let everyone and anyone in and out without any government oversight.

US Secretary of State John Kerry is a very daring man. He is willing to risk it all for the sake of a possible ceasefire.

After the FAA decided it was too dangerous to fly to Israel and therefore grounded all flights (interesting that they haven't grounded flights to the Ukraine - where two planes were actually shot out of the air), John kerry said that would not stop him, and he today flew to Israel.

John Kerry was willing to take the very serious risk of having his airplane shot out of the sky by a missile, for the sake of peace.

The Yesha Council in cooperation with a group called MyIsrael have been making videos called John Kerry Solutions, Ltd. in which they spoof John Kerry leading the peace process.

John Kerry Solutions, Ltd. has upset the US State Department.

According to The Jerusalem Post,

"I think it goes in with what I’ve already stated about attempts to mischaracterize [Kerry's] record, his position, his positions on issues, his statements, how that is not an attack on him; that’s an attack on the process. And of course that kind of rhetoric we find unacceptable," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Wednesdays during a press briefing.
Psaki responded with evasive light-hardheartedness when mockingly asked by a reporter if Kerry believes that Jerusalem is a holy city to fictional species, referring to a segment of the spoof video in which the mock Kerry says theWestern Wall is holy to all religions, citing "Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Klingons and Hobbits."
While avoiding a direct response, Psaki interjected her own feelings on the extraterrestrial humanoid warrior species from the science fiction show Star Treck.
"I love Klingons," Psaki said during the exchange.

Thoughts:
1. It must be an effective campaign if the State Department took notice.

2. #1 is surprising in light of the fact that Yesha Council is involved.

3. The State Department should really not bother commenting on a video that is just parody and is not connected to the government or represent any governmental position.

John Kerry has, deservedly, taken a beating in Israel the past couple of days. After saying something stupid, everyone has come out swinging... I even suspect that the recent muscle flexing by PM Netanyahu over Bennet's criticism of Netanyahu's plan for eventual peace was really just in preparation for standing up to John Kerry - to give himself the strength and the appearance of being able to stand on principle..

Minister of Defense Moshe "Boojie" Yaalon has now apologized to the United States for the perceived insult to Secretary of State John Kerry.

Yaalon created quite a ruckus with his statement about Kerry leaving us alone and wishing he would just be granted his Nobel Peace Prize so he can stop bothering us.

Yaalon made a new statement expressing that he had no intention to disparage the Secretary of State and apologizes if the Secretary of State was hurt by the words attributed to the Minister.

That's great. Fabulous. Nice of him to apologize and nip this in the bud before it turns into a crisis nobody needs or wants.

The one thing I want to know is what did he mean when he said it, if it wasn't meant to be an insult. I wish he would explain what e did say and what he meant..

John Kerry is just infuriating, the way he has been pressuring Israel time after time (in honor of Cyndi Lauper's concert last night in Tel Aviv) to give more and more, goodwill gesture after goodwill gesture just for the right to give more land or prisoners.. He doesn't seem to care about the people at all. today, in another symbolic move that shows this, they shut down the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway during rush hour so that Kerry could get to the airport. Instead of scheduling it differently, or taking him a different route, or using a helicopter to transport him, or a dozen other solutions, they shut the highway..
