Quote of the Day (qotd)
We went through an organized procedure, with a lot of consideration. The model for opening the parking lots is the same model used for hospitals and hotels in Jerusalem - opening them requiring no payment and being operated by a shabbos goy.
This brings a real solution to a real problem, that is the security and safety around the parking issue in downtown Jerusalem during the weekends. Therefore we went through an organized procedure with consideration, via discussion with the haredi representatives in the city council, and we came to a solution that should not have caused any turmoil.
I do not understand what the protests are about, but that is their right [to protest].
---------Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat
